A counselling and reiki combination session allows you 95 minutes of therapy, relaxation and healing. This can be used by both those having regular counselling sessions, and those seeking a one-off emotional support session, followed with the relaxing and healing energies of reiki. The type of reiki used for this session will initially be limited to Usui reiki, at my Droitwich therapy room. Having a combination session of counselling and reiki allows you to offload and process anything you would like to explore at that time, whether that is continuing to explore current counselling work, or dropping in for a one-off support session. You are supported in a safe, therapeutic relationship, you are heard and witnessed. Following a counselling session, it is not unusual to feel like there is a sort of cloud hanging in the air around you, which I have both witnessed in my clients and experienced myself. A kind of ’emotional hangover.’ A session of reiki not only allows you some time to relax and begin to process what you have explored in counselling, but also helps to clear the energies that may have been released during your counselling session, to leave you feeling energetically refreshed.
Another benefit of this type of session is the way in which we can direct reiki energy. Reiki can be used to help with the alteration of negative thoughts and beliefs to something more positive, and it can also be directed to past and future situations. If we were exploring a past trauma in your counselling session, we could follow this up by setting our intention for the reiki to flow specifically to the events surrounding that trauma, the pain you have felt as a consequence, or the negative beliefs you have developed as a coping mechanism. In this way, counselling and reiki work hand in hand to aid your healing.
Session structure
- 50 minutes of counselling
- 5 minute transition from counselling to reiki set-up
- 30 minutes of reiki
- 10 minutes to ground and debrief
Fees
These one hour and thirty minutes counselling and reiki combination sessions are available at the rate of £75 per 95 minute session (£25 cheaper than separate sessions). Payment is made in advance to secure your session, and I require 24 hours’ notice of a cancellation otherwise I’m afraid the full fee is payable.
